Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350F 175C
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt
In a separate large bowl, beat together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy
Add the egg to the wet mixture and beat well
Gradually add the dry flour mixture into the wet mixture, mixing until just combined
Stir in the chocolate chips
Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown
Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely
