Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup tequila
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 sandwich buns
- Lettuce leaves
- Sliced tomatoes
- Sliced red onion
- Mayonnaise or preferred condiments
Instructions:
Put lime juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl
Add the tequila and mix it all together
Put the chicken breasts in the sauce and cover for at least 30 minutes
Get a grill or grill pan hot, but not too hot
The chicken breasts should be grilled for six to eight minutes on each side, or until they are done and have grill marks on them
Take the chicken off the grill and give it a minute or two to rest
If you want, you can toast the sandwich buns on the grill
Put lettuce, tomato slices, and red onion on the bottom bun of each sandwich to make it
Add a grilled tequila lime chicken breast on top, and then spread mayonnaise or your favorite toppings on the top bun
Serve right away and enjoy!
